Cookies Policy

What are Cookies?

When you visit sites on the internet they can place small text files, with ID tags that are stored on your device (computer/ mobile/ tablet) these are called Cookies.

Cookies allow websites to keep track of your movements whilst on the site, for example a shopping site can track what's in your shopping basket and provide functions to improve your shopping experience.

To order Apps and services on the Casio Business Portal website you need to have cookies enabled. Cookies are common and won't cause any harm to your device. No personally identifiable information is stored within cookies.

Your privacy is important to us, so we have made improvements to better explain how we handle cookies and how you can control the cookies that are stored on your device. These improvements are in line with the new EU directive on the use of cookies by websites.

What types of activity do we use cookies for?

  • Apps purchase
    Some cookies are essential during online transactions, e.g. to remember what app you have requested to download as you navigate to different pages on the website. These cookies are "strictly necessary" for the operation of the website.
  • Improve user experience on the website (functionality cookies)
    Cookies are used to remember your preferences on the site, such as login details. These cookies are not shared with other websites.

Types of Cookies

There are two common types of cookies;

  • Session Cookie: Session cookies are created temporarily in your browser's subfolder while you're visiting a website. They allow a site to 'remember' content from page to page, e.g. the app download. These cookies expire when you leave the site or close the browser.
  • Persistent cookie: Persistent cookie files remain in your browser's subfolder and are activated again once you visit the website that created that particular cookie, e.g. Remember Me
    A persistent cookie remains in the browser's subfolder for the duration period set within the cookie's file. They have a defined TTL (Time To Live) and will expire after this time.

We also use cookies to improve the sign-in experience. For example, your e-mail address may be stored in a cookie that will remain on your computer after you sign out. This cookie allows your e-mail address to be pre-populated, so that you will only need to type your password the next time you sign in. If you are using a public computer or do not want this information to be stored, you can select the appropriate radio button on the sign-in page, and this cookie will not be used.
